iPod Nano review & Apple iPod Nano 6th generation: first impression is great. Apple iPod Nano 6th generation is one of those devices which were unveiled by the company during its annual event at San Francisco on September 1.
Other devices include new iPod, Apple TV, iPod Shuffle, iPod Touch, Social Networking Environment and iTunes 10. But the major attractions at the event were new iPod Touch 4G and new Multitouch iPod Nano 6th generation.
As the name suggests iPod Nano is Apple’s smallest device ever produced by the company. It is measured at an inch and a half square and 0.35 inch thick. As far as other features are concerned; there's a clip on the back (borrowed from the iPod Shuffle), a variety of seven colors (silver, gray, blue, orange, pink, green, and red), and two capacities, 8GB ($149) and 16GB ($179). Battery life also was found as a landmarkof the product. It can rate at 24 hours of music playback. It is the remarkable feature for such a small device.
Nano has discarded its time tested scroll wheel navigation for a miniscule touch screen, measuring a smidge over 1-inch square (1.5 inches diagonally). The iPod Nano has iPhone-like icons for music playback, photos, settings, Nike+, clock, radio, and Genius Mixes, as well as more specific shortcuts for audiobook playback, artists, genres, playlists, and podcasts.
It was also analyzed that the icons are arranged in sets of four, spread out across multiple home screens, similar to iOS devices, such as the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad.
