iPhone jailbreak/unlock Comex all iDevice, blackra1n and ultrasn0w to excel after US ruling on iPhone 4 jailbreak
The US government’s decision to make jailbreak legal may come as a great thing for Apple fans and iPhone users. A large number of applications that are not on Apple’s iTunes fascinate common iPhone users.
But as Apple diktats prohibit these applications from being put on iPhones many people cannot do anything.
But around ten percent of the iPhone users who don’t want to stick to Apple orders go and jailbreak their iPhones that makes them free from the stranglehold.
But so far Apple was all angry with the guys who were behind jailbreak and said that the jailbreak leaves the warranty void. This was the biggest threat that Apple used against people interested in jailbreak.
But now Apple’s autocratic style has been given a body blow by the new ruling that will allow any number of people interested in jailbreak or unlock to do as they please.
Nonetheless the issue of warranty still remains a concern for people who are looking for jailbreak.
But there are many people who still think that it’s a nonissue. A reader says, “I know quite a few people with iPhones, but TO MY KNOWLEDGE, none of them have mentioned jailbreaking and problems with their phones in the same sentence. That doesn't necesarily mean anything though. The bottom line is, Apple is going to as aggressively as possible protect their 'way of doing things'. You can't really blame them. But then again, if you don't like their way, and you can circumvent the control they seem to like to exert, they can't blame you either. They can threaten and frighten you (or try to) but that's about it.”
But another reader comes up with easier option and says, “Why people are crying out so loud. If you are stupid enough to put in a warranty claim to Apple with your phone jailbroken, then you shouldn't do it in the first place. If you have to send your phone in, RESTORE!! Duh! Done! Back to factory standard. Restoring the phone is easier than jailbreaking it.”
