The jailbreaking exemption has its limits. iPhone 3GS, 3G, 2G Jailbreak & Unlock software send Trojan, Viruses & malware
Most of the phone mavens are talking about jail breaking. The issue has become a hot one in the industry following a ruling from the U.S. Copyright Office that endorses jail breaking iPhone 4 as a legal action.
Till now it was risky for users to install unapproved applications or switch career on their smart phones because it was declared illegal. Now, when there is no fear of any prosecution it is expected that a large number of users will go after it.
However, it is a different question, that California-based firm Apple is extremely upset with the ruling. It is understood that the company had urged for a total ban on the activity. Besides, it also had demanded action against some million iPhone users who jail broke their gadget.
Corporate-giant Apple is not alone in its protest. Some other organizations are also backing it. They say that jail breaking and other activities actually violate provisions of 1998 revisions to federal copyright law known as the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. But it looks they have failed to convince the government about its long term implication.
Those who are opposed to such a law have hailed this decision. They are calling it a historic one.
