Verizon iPhone & White iPhone 4 hopes of year 2010 launch quashed
2 September, 2010
Verizon iPhone & White iPhone 4 hopes of year 2010 launch quashed. Many people were waiting for just a single thing when Apple boss Steve Jobs was making the announcement in his press conference. Their wait remained a wait and they were left heart broke.
Because he never announced one thing that millions of people were waiting for.
This means that for millions of people Verizon iPhone will remain a dream, an unfulfilled dream.
We had said earlier that Apple will not be announcing Verizon iPhone so soon as they are not really ready with the product to make any announcement in this regard.
Though the prototype is ready, they are not ready with the huge demand that comes with the launch of this product.
A recent survey suggested that as many as thirty three percent AT&T iPhone users said that they would switch to Verizon when they launch iPhone on their network while another twenty percent said they would consider it seriously.
A reader says, “I've had better service with ATT than I did with Verizon, both in the city (mostly Wash, DC) and in rural areas. Plus, I ilke the ability to do both voice and data simultaneously, something you can not do with Verizon's CDMA network. Will be interesting to see what happens when Verizon comes out with its LTE network (SIM card and all!)”
Another reader says, “Each network has plusses and minuses. Perhaps if you look at this from a purely geography perspective, you may be right. However, AT&T covers the population centers in a fashion that stacks up pretty well with Verizon. In addition, it is the acknowledged fastest 3G network currently available. Finally, it has the hands down largest network of free wifi hotspots in the country”.
