Verizon iPHone & White iPhone 4: can Verizon face high data usage that comes with iPhone? Many people say that the problem may increase with iPhone on Verizon
Tomorrow it will be decided whether we will be able to enjoy talking on iPhone on Verizon network or not. Signs are that Apple may announce the launch of Verizon iPhone in its media event tomorrow.
But there is a raging controversy going on about the gadget with many saying that Verizon’s network is not prepared to face the high data use that comes with the iPhone. iPhone users are known to use the highest amount of data when compared to users of other mobile handsets.
The pressure at times is so high on the cellular network that at one point of time AT&T stopped giving new iPhone connections in the New York City. Though later it was forced to revoke the ban, but it shows that how much under stress the network remains due to high data usage.
A recent poll had showed around one third of iPhone users on AT&T ready to migrate to Verison. But the opinion is split. A reader says, “Verizon should've had the iphone in the first place? Tell that to the imbeciles at Verizon; they're the ones who rejected Apple's offer to be the exclusive carrier in the first place! Too controlling, they were. Stubborn and unwilling to compromise via profit sharing. Anyway, so AT&T obviously ddin't make the same stupid mistake and as a result they are far larger and more competitive than Verizon could hope for. Apple, being how they are by virtue of Jobs, will more likely invite T-Mobile and Sprint, maybe even MetroPCS, before ever considering Verizon...all out of not just spite, but out of teaching Verizon a lesson.
Another reader says, “Since I left Verizon over horrible customer service over an 8 year period(the phone service was excellent, but customer service goes a long way in my book), I will stay with AT&T regardless if they get an Iphone. Yes, my cell service was better on Verizon. I paid a premium for their service. I left, and received much better customer service, more minutes, better internet package, and was finally able to get unlimited texting, for LESS with AT&T than I paid at Verizon. Now, yes my phone drops occasionally, but it did the same darn thing with Verizon. It was probably less, but I dont care. It wasn't enough to keep me. After many many issues I left them and will NEVER ever go back”.
