Obama is also continuing those policies. When he came to the White House he had made promises to disband wars in Iraq and Afghanistan as soon as possible and had talked of direct meeting with Iranian President, but establishment and the trillion dollar war machine seems to have an effect on him.
These ill conceived wars have burdened the US so badly that its economy is in worst shape in a long time.
But Obama did a good job by getting unemployment extension benefits extended.
But these are people who are not happy. These very same people didn’t utter a single word when hundreds of billions of dollars was gifted to banks. A reader says, “Obama is Proposing to extend jobless benefits to the unemployed is only good when the unemployed are really doing their best to look for a job but still no luck. But for those lazy ones who don't even consider looking for a job only because they know they have something to depend on, which is their unemployment benefits, or those who tend to be picky about choosing jobs because it pays less than what they are already getting from the jobless benefits., or those who pretend they look for jobs but are not....then these people don't deserve to have their benfits extended. Shame on them. I hope Pres. Obama can even look into this and perhaps consider on doing something about these people ! It's unfair for others who pay taxes only to find our part of it is going to these lazy people!”
Another reader says, “what 99? i never before got an extension, and now look to loose eveything. jobs can hire and fire as they seem fit. in this country there is a bad slavery, & raciest problem. it is against hard working true americans, press one for english? alot of spending to loose our home, life, and people have too many divorces. nice to see people say, lets love and care for each other. controlling and abusive ways, laws? i see myself as a good father being punished, my kids, parents and mother break a ton of laws, lawyers lazy, take your money, while i loose it all. judges, not nuetral but do as the system says, dads are not parents, and can even job, a wife, kids, where are my rights, and life gone? while our troops are in other countries, our being in faded, and brought down to ruins. disaster over there, but we are here, disaster here, not even have money care for us, alone others.”
