Following this incident, Tylenol maker McNeil PPC Inc. has withdrawn all products from the market. Its red cap helps shopkeepers and buyers in recognizing it easily.
Interacting with the media, McNeill says some people who used the products complained that they had “an unusual moldy, musty, or mildew-like odor” linked to symptoms of nausea, stomach pain, vomiting, and diarrhea.”
He also clarified that the symptoms arising from using the product “were temporary and non-serious.”
Besides, McNeil also urged consumers not to purchase the product. And people who have bought it have been asked to stop using it. They have also been asked to get in touch with McNeil for a refund or replacement. Consumers can call McNeil by telephone at 888-222-6036. Also he is available on the official web site. The complaints will be entertained from Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. And on Saturdays and Sundays the office will be opened from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
