New York: Tylenol recall 2009: Johnson and Johnson's fall from grace. Johnson and Johnson, the biggest toiletry firm in the world and a Fortune 500 company has been put in the dock by the FDA for not taking action fast enough when it came to Tylenol recall.
Though the toiletry giant has recalled around seventy million packs of different Tylenol products, there are reports that some products are still being sold at some stores over the counter.
Many people who saw another massive recall by the same company in the eighties say that at that time the recall was swift and very fast and it was done without any report attacking the Johnson and Johnson and implicating it or calling it slow.
The products had a very bad smell that made users suffer sever headache and nausea. But despite being aware of this affect on the users the company started the recall process only when Food and Drug Administration (FDA) attacked it in its investigative report.
This must be the biggest fall from grace for a company that used to be perceived as best when it came to customer satisfaction.
