Tata Manza to be launched in India for Rs. 5.5 - 7.5 lakhs
9 October, 2009
Tata Motors has been buoyed by the fact that despite recession car market is on a roll.
It has finally come out of the recessionary impact and almost all the carmakers including Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Tata Motors and other leading carmakers have registered robust growth in recent months.
Company chairman Ratan Tata will unveil Manza on October 14 just in time for those waiting for Diwali offers. The car is touted as a luxury model with amenities such as a roomy cabin, alloy wheels, steering wheel-mounted audio controls and many more.
Manza is made on the same platform as that of Tata Indica Vista but is powered by an Italian Fiat engine. Two options available in engine are a 1.4L one that pumps out 95 PS and the other is a 1.3L variant with a 90 PS delivery. Unlike in the Indica Vista, the boot in Manza is not a standout space.
Tata has opened an online contest that promises 10 lucky winners a full day ride in a chauffeur-driven Manza.
Manza will be competing with Maruti Swift Dzire, Ford Ikon, and Fiesta.
