Bangaluru: A team of representatives of the Solidarity Youth Movement under its State President P Mujeeb Rahman visited the PDP leader Abdul Naser Madani at Parappana Agrahara Central Prison in Bangaluru. Solidarity leaders blamed in a press release that the basic facilities usually allowed to a suspected prisoner are strictly denied to Madani.
Due to the bright lights in the cell for camera’s use, Madani is unable to sleep. Even the Supreme Court order to provide advanced medical assistance for Madani is not followed.
Solidarity wanted the Kerala government to immediately intervene in Madani issue. The ruling and opposition sides in the assembly, and the common people should come forward with protests over Madani’s plight, Solidarity wanted.
K.A Shafeeque, Solidarity State Vice President and N.K Abdul Salam and T Muhammed Velam, the State Secretaries were in the team.
Madani has been confined in prison for his not-yet-proven link with the serial bomb blasts in Bangaluru city. Earlier, he was denied bail by the Supreme Court, but the Karnataka government was ordered to avail him advanced medical treatment considering his health disorder.
