Samsung launches Galaxy Tab: world's first DivX certified table, price specs & other details. You can easily run through busy streets with a Galaxy Tab safely kept in your hand. With this offer Samsung tries to prove how the Galaxy Tab can beat market leader iPad. The IFA show here in Berlin put the two rivals for a top to toe comparison. The show predicts that Samsung Tab will excel with its little size and weightlessness.
Galaxy Tab is only half the size of iPad and carries a 7-inch screen while iPad has a 9.7-inch one. You can lift your Galxy Tab just with two fingers as it weighs only 13.8 ounces contrary to iPad's pound and a half.
The landscape key board of the Samsung is pretty good than iPad’s, because the keys are big enough that you can tap them simply. Galaxy Tab's much-bigger-than-a-smartphone screen features the calendar, the very iPad-like e-mail, and the music app.
The Tab offers stunning features like Web surfing, movie watching, e-book reading and navigations using GPS and if you want you can use it for phone calls too. E- reading is highly comfortable with three different apps like PressDisplay for news, Kobo for e-books, and Zinio for magazines.
Meanwhile, Apple CEO announced that 25,000 iPad apps including Flipboard are ready to hit to the tablet. Still the Galaxy Tab is highly compatible with all most all applications on the Android Market. Samsung is to enhance the apps working with developers to get some of the most popular applications.
The new Tab carries a 1GHz Cortex A8 processor having 16GB integrated storage and a MicroSD card slot which adds 32GB space more.
Instead of AMOLED screen Galaxy Tab carries one based on TFT. This change will help the users offering cost cut and improved battery life. The Tab also carries two cameras, 1.3-megapixel front facing one for video calls and one on the back with a LED lamp.
