After a hat-trick defeat the Rajasthan Royals are back to what they love the most: winning matches. Their performance in the third edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL-3) has not been satisfactory till now as they lost match after match. Some of the matches were really close one.

However, that all is past. In today’s match the resurgent Rajasthan Royals defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by 34 runs. This is second defeat for the Riders who before the start of the match, was confident to sail through.

Batting first Rajasthan could manage to pile up 168 for seven. Their batsmen looked threatening but unluckily they were unable to go after the bowlers. They kept on losing batters at intervals. Young Jhunjhuwala was the highest scorer from the side. He smacked 45 runs. Yusuf Pathan once again failed to click. He was out on paltry run. But he bowled well, taking two wickets. He opened the bowling for the Royals and in four over didn’t allow the batters to settle down.

The Royals missed some catching and running chances. But they were back in the match as the Riders had difficulty playing on a slow pitch. Buoyed by the victory the team hopes to reach the semis.
