New iPod Touch 4th generation & iTunes 10 download available. Apple unveils new line of iPods, revamped Apple TV

Apple CEO Steve Jobs unveiled an updated streaming TV device, new iPods and a social network during its annual event held at San Francisco on Wednesday. He also announced to cut the price of Apple TV to $99, down from $229. Apple TV is expected to be available in four weeks. The iPod was main device of the event. Apple claimed to have sold 275 million of iPods until now.

Jobs also unveiled a redesigned, smaller version of the Apple TV. Jobs said, "We’ve sold a lot of them but it’s never been a huge hit. But neither has any competitor product." If you will have this redesigned version then you can rent first run movies for $4.99 or high-definition TV shows for just $0.99, initially just from ABC and Fox. "We think the rest of the studios will see the light and get on board with us pretty soon," Jobs added. With movies and TV shows, Apple TV will offer videos from YouTube, movies from Netflix as well.

Apple also unveiled a new version of the very small iPod Shuffle, with a square design and 15 hours of battery life. It will be priced at $49. Jobs also showed a new squarish version of the iPod Nano, one that incorporates a multitouch screen. Jobs assured that all these devices will be on sale next week.

A slimmer new version of the Touch including "Retina display," the 24-bit high-quality screen was also showed odd there. Jobs described the Touch as "the number-one portable game player in the world."

The iPod Touch, which is basically the iPhone without the phone, will be available for $229 for 8 GB, 32 GB for $299 and 64 GB for $399.
