National Games may be delayed: Ganesh Kumar

Trivandrum: National Games may not be conducted on the scheduled dates, says K.B Ganesh Kumar, the Minister for Sports. Even the basic infrastructural facilities are not ready for the games. Renovation of the stadiums is yet to be finished, he said.

Even the God wishes to organize the games, it will not happen on time, said Ganesh Kumar, who earlier promised that the games should be organized on the prescribed dates.

The government will decide new dates for the games after the procedures to invite new tenders for the infrastructural development are over. All activities including financial transactions in connection with the National Games will be published on the web site, the Minister said.  

All procedures will be totally transparent. The web site of the games will begin operation once all details about the event are available, he ensured. All people connected with the sports and athletics can submit their suggestions for the success of the National Games.

One can submit five suggestions on the web site. The government will conduct a workshop to take steps on those suggestions, Mr. Ganesh Kumar, who is made in-charge of the National Games, said.
