Motorola Droid X vs Apple iPhone 4: reports suggestDroid will not have all Android 2.2 features
As Motorola Droid is about to receive Android 2.2 this week, reports suggest that the device is not capable to support all features of the Google software update. Reports are coming out that significant features and qualities of Android 2.2 will not function on Droid original model as its hardware is obsolete.
According to Verizon Wireless’ July announcement, Droid is to receive over-the-air upgrade to Android 2.2 in the first week of August. Though no exact date of Android 2.2’s arrival on Droid is released, it is almost sure that that software will appear on Droid at least by the end of the first week.
Android 2.2 is the latest version of Google’s mobile software. The update has come up to be a big challenge for Apple and its iPhone software iOS. The new software highlights several new features like security settings changes, speed gains Flash, an advanced Android Market and many more.
One another big benefit of Android 2.2 is that it will transform the device into a Wi-Fi hot spot. Actually it is here Droid original model fails to keep in line with. This much-demanded feature will not be working on Droid though featuring Android 2.2. Verizon explained it as hardware powerlessness. Meanwhile Motorola made no comments at all.
Google’s Android 2.2 is visibly a great challenge for Apple. Recent market trends indicate that Android phones have been outselling Apple iPhone. But one thing is there; once there are too many Android-run phones in the market, Apple iPhone is the only phone that carries iOS. Anyway, in coming months Android 2.2 will appear on many more phones such as HTC Evo 4G and Motorola Droid X.
