Motorola Droid 2 vs HTC Droid Incredible vs Samsung Galaxy S vs Apple iPhone 4: What is best and most efficient of them all

Motorola Droid 2 is getting limelight like no other Motorola phone. Weeks after the launch the mobile handset is making waves and winning more and more fans and buyers than anyone had expected.

Out of several Motorola Droid smart phones that have hit the market one after the other in less than a year, this seems to be the best bet to succeed and make inroads in Apple’s iPhone market.

Its great handsets have prompted Motorola to take on Apple in more vigorous ways and forced Motorola to highlight a short coming in Droid X that actually didn’t exist.

This was the first sign that Apple, the Cupertino based tech major was feeling the heat from sustained onslaught from not just Motorola but Taiwanese company HTC and South Korean tech giant Samsung.

A reader says, “The point is that if you want to be a Verizon customer, you have no choice but to buy a Verizon phone from Verizon or from someone who got it from Verizon. This limits consumer choice and we all know choice drives innovation and competition, especially in technology markets. Under Verizon's model, there's no way for something like the Nexus One to happen, ever. You can't just walk in with any compatible phone and have it activated - they won't do it. Sprint's the same way. The carriers who use SIM cards, ATT and T-Mobile, will. They don't care where you got your phone. And, in that way, they are better carriers. If my phone works on your network, you should allow me to use it, no matter where I got it. What if ISPs start forcing you to only use computers you buy from them on their network? Would you feel that that warranted regulation? Because, the way phones are changing, that is what is basically happening. VZW provides me with about 10% as much phone service as it does data service, if that much. I barely use my phone for calls at all. It is a mobile computer that fits in my pocket and just happens to make voice calls”.
