Los Angeles: Michael Jackson doctor charged for manslaughter and Michael Jackson coroner report. Jackson's physician pleaded not guilty in connection with his boss' death. Dr. Conrad Murray, the indicted personal physician of Michael Jackson pleaded not guilty during an arraignment hearing at LA., courthouse.
Later, Murray, who has been charged for an involuntary manslaughter was set by the court on a bail for an heavy bond amount of $75,000. It is a three times greater than the usual bail amount for such cases. The court allowed Murray to travel within the U.S.A while prevented from flying abroad by requesting to surrender his passport.
It is reported that the prosecutors were seeking a bail of $300,000. But, Superior Court Judge Keith L. Schwartz declined to agree on that amount. If charges proved, Murray will get a maximum of four years imprisonment.
Meeting media persons after the hearing, Murray's attorney, ED Chernoff said that his client would not wish to talk to press.
"He's going to go home," Chernoff said. "He's going to go back to his family. He's going to go back to his patients."
Family members of Jackson, including his parents Joe and Katherine, sister La Toya and brothers Jermaine, Tito and Randy attended the hearing. Reports indicate that most of the family members of Jackson are not satisfied with the charge of involuntary manslaughter.
Brain Oxman, lawyer of Jackson's father expressed that in clear words. " This charge is a slap on the wrist. There's great disappointment here. Murray should have been charged with a higher degree of responsibility. What he did was reckless. It was a disregard for human life."
