K.S Chithra's 8-year-old daughter drowned in Dubai

Nandana, eight-year-old daughter of prominent Malayalam playback singer K.S Chithra drowned to death in a swimming pool at a villa in Emirates Hills, Dubai. The accident took place on 14 April. Though rushed to the Jabal Ali International hospital soon after the accident, Nandana passed away.

Nandana was a student of first standard. Her dead body was moved to the Dubai Forensic Lab for postmortem. Body will be flown to Chennai by 9:00 p.m.    

K.S Chithra and family were in Dubai to take part in a talk show of A.R Rahman in Sharjha International Cricket stadium. Nandana was born to Chithra and husband Vijayashankar after 15 years of their marriage. Vijayashankar is an engineer by profession.

People in Kerala are shocked to hear the news of death of the daughter of their favorite playback singer ever. K.S Chithra is indeed one of icons in the Indian playback singing history. She has sung songs for films in almost all Indian languages including Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Oriya, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Badaga and Punjabi films. She is known as the Little Nightingale of South India.
