Lanka amassing runs, may declare inning at 700 runs

28 July, 2010

India vs Srilanka live score: Lanka amassing runs, may declare inning at 700 runs. Sri Lanka would have declared their inning by now. But the team may be looking forward to a double century by Jayawardene who is playing at 174 and Samarwee’s century. He is playing at 73.

If the match continues with its brisk pace, Sri Lanka may be looking forward to a score in neighborhood of around 700 runs and completion  of Jayawardene’s double century.

This is a dream match for the Lankans who have shown that despite some of their great players who made their team a cricketing powerhouse, they continue to be a great team with great bowling and batting side.

All the players except Dilshan have completed centuries, or are on verge of it. Sangakkara came up with a captain’s knock scoring 219 runs while his predecessor Jayawardene is playing at 174.

In contrast Indian team has at best looked hapless without anything to look towards too.

They know that before a mighty Sri Lankan bowling attack their team may not be able to come up with a matching performances. More so when the best batsmen of the team including Sehwag and Dravid are struggling to regain their top performance.

Lankan team has made a Himalayan score of 640 runs for the loss of three wickets.
