India vs New Zealand 2nd ODI score and highlights, Gambhir good replacement for Dhoni. His fiery inning has lifted the morale of the Indian team in more ways than one

New Delhi: The second one day international match between India and New Zealand has shown once again that the Kiwis are no match for India and their five ODI matches series is not going to get people’s interest.

Yesterday the match that was played in Jaipur was absolutely one sided from the word go. The New Zealanders failed to play openly and a tight bowling attack didn’t allow their batsmen to open up.

Guptill and Styriss were the only two batsmen who could score half centuries. But the most notable aspect of yesterday’s match was the fact that whenever any Kiwi batsman started showing some courage and hoped to increase run rate, either he would be bowled out or the partnership would be broken.

The way Kiwis come under pressure so easily has made things look bleak for them and more so as India’s ace bowler Zaheer Khan has been brought back in the squad.

Indian batting line up has remained very effective throughout the series even in the absence of the star batsmen like Sachin, Sehwag and Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the regular captain of the Indian team.

Gautam Gambhir is in great form. His 138 off 116 balls was a treat to watch. Such a balanced inning from him augurs well for the team Indian that is preparing several plans for the forthcoming World Cup that will be played in the subcontinent next year.
