HTC Droid Incredible vs Samsung Galaxy S vs Apple iPhone 4: Which is the best? Samsung ships 1 million Galaxy S Smartphone in 45 days

The South Korean tech giant Samsung announced that they have sold 1 million T-Mobile Vibrants and AT&T Captivates in just 45 days after the launch in the US. According to Samsung Electronics, 1 million Samsung Galaxy S smartphone has been shipped in US since mid-July.

In the global market, the Galaxy S has sold almost three million units worldwide. In fact, in Korea it reached the 900,000 sales mark in just two months after its launch in June, which is four times faster than the Apple iPhone 3GS sales. While Apple's iPhone sold three million iPhone 4s in 22 days in the five biggest global markets.

The Samsung Galaxy is a super-thin form factor with a 4-inch 480x800 pixel Super AMOLED display with a speedy 1GHz Hummingbird processor and runs Android that has a huge success rate.

The other features include, 8-16 GB internal memory, 5-megapixel camera along with a VGA front-facing camera, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth and a PowerVR graphics processor.

The company thanks the advertisement strategies for the success of the phone. The company promoted its Galaxy S phone on various popular TV shows, social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter and Youtube.

Most importantly, Samsung preferred to launch Galaxy S on multiple carriers rather than making it exclusive with one which ultimately drew more customers towards it.

Moreover, the phone is available with Verizon, the largest and the best mobile provider in the US.

“Bringing Galaxy S devices to multiple carriers has given Samsung Mobile the opportunity to reach millions of consumers,” said Samsung Mobile President Dale Sohn.

The Galaxy S is available in four flavors with four different carriers namely, Vibrant on T-Mobile, Captivate on AT&T, Fascinate on Verizon and Epic 4G on Sprint.

The Galaxy S 16GB is available for $200 with plan from AT&T and T-Mobile similar to an iPhone 4 16GB. AT&T's Captivate is now free with a plan whereas, T-Mobile's Vibrant which was previously available for free is currently available for $49 online.
