Google Superbowl commercial and New Orleans Saints Super Bowl champions stuns everyone. This year's Super Bowl ads included a rare advertiser, that is Google Inc. , world's largest Internet search engine. Google run a minute-long commercial during the Super Bowl telecast on CBS.
The commercial, which was called "Parisian Love" advertised feature's of Google's search engine, especially its translation functions.
Generally, Google has not been relying on TV ads to promote its products. But last year Google largely published TV ads for its Chrome web browser. That ad was first posted on the You Tube before going air.
The recent Super Bowls ad was available on the You Tube for three months. Google officals said that it has no plan to launch many TV ads, but it was a part of a series of videos that run on the You Tube for many months. Google said that those ads were put on air as they earned positive response from viewers.
"We didn't set out to do a Super Bowl ad, or even a TV ad for search," said Eric Schmidt, Chief Executive Officer said on a blog post yesterday. "Our goal was simply to create a series of short online videos about our products and our users, and how they interact. But we liked this video so much, and it's had such a positive reaction on YouTube, that we decided to share it with a wider audience."
It is known that CBS In., that telecast the Super Bowls match on Sunday was charging $3million for 30-second from advertisers. The popular Super Bowls show is supposed to reach at least one third of the American population.
