Google Superbowl commercial & Google Super Bowl ad 2010. Search-engine giant Google Inc., kwon for quality products and innovative methods to stay at top, did something unusual during the Super Bowl.
For a minute it ran a minute-long commercial on the Super Bowl, which is extremely popular with people. This was the first move by the company using TV advertising.
The commercial was named “Parisian Love”. It had features of the company’s search engine. Besides, its translation functions were also highlighted. The message was to tell users that most of the Internet users rely on Google to even contact people in other countries such as France.
The California-based company rarely bank on television ads to promote its products. That is why computer mavens are looking at it differently. Maybe the purpose was to reach to a wider audience. However, the company had taken help of TV following its launch of Chrome Web browser in 2009.
Sources say The Super Bowl commercials were produced by company’s Japanese staff. That is why it first telecast it on YouTube video site.
Writing in a blog, Chief Executive Officer Eric Schmidt said: “We didn’t set out to do a Super Bowl ad, or even a TV ad for search. Our goal was simply to create a series of short online videos about our products and our users, and how they interact. But we liked this video so much, and it’s had such a positive reaction on YouTube, that we decided to share it with a wider audience.”
