Facebook changes: new Facebook homepage, new Facebook layout and design entice users. Facebook is on an upswing these days. The largest social networking site is now six years old and four hundred million strong and it is counting.
It is already second most popular website on planet earth closely behind search engine behemoth Google and a lot better than third placed Yahoo and other major websites.
Coinciding with its sixth birthday the company has taken many steps to consolidate its position and improve its revenue generation set up.
It has taken full control of its banner ads and there are indications that it is a matter of months if not week when it will completely take control of its advertisement business.
The company may also try a few more modules to generate revenue in the days and weeks to come. It has great potential to improve itself and roll out a number of new products as more and more people get hooked to it.
There is already talk of Facebook launching email service.
If it launches its email service, it will be an instant hit provided it is able to assure users about privacy of their email accounts. Many users are not very happy with its lax privacy policies.
In the meantime Facebook is making its recent changes to its homepage available to users across the world. There are signs that the revamped homepage will available to users across the world.
A report says that the revamped homepage is already available to around quarter of Facebook users and within days the new revamped Facebook is going to be available to all Facebook users.
