The Dallas Maverick did the same again they have been doing over the years. They overcame a spirited fight from Oklahoma City Thunder to win the game in the overtime. Till merely a few minutes before the eventual turnaround in the game no one gave Maverick a chance to remain in the game, not to talk of winning it in an impressive fashion.
Oklahoma City Thunder had a clear 15 point lead over the Dallas Maverick less than five minutes before the game was to end. But then started a big comeback fight that culminated in another great win for the Dallas Maverick.
The Dallas Mavericks were able after some deft showing to close regulation on a 17-2 and got a breather when they were allowed an over time.
It was the time when they saw some chances for them and they used it in true sportsmanship fashion to humiliate Oklahoma City Thunder who had been in terrific form since the beginning of the match.
An ESPN report lauding the Dallas Maverick’s win over Oklahoma City Thunder says, “The Mavericks have now won five straight road games (longest postseason road streak since the 2005 Miami Heat) and are now one win away from their first NBA Finals trip since 2006. With the victory, the Mavericks became the only team in the last 15 seasons to win a playoff game in which it trailed by 15 or more points with five minutes remaining in the fourth quarter.” (Source: ESPN)
