Eranakulam: The Congress and UDF will move ahead rectifying the faults, ensures the KPCC President Ramesh Chennithala. The party could not attain the expected victory in the legislative assembly election in Kerala. The majority is very meager.
The party and front will examine the reasons for it and will maintain a stable government in the state for next five yeas, Mr. Ramesh, who won at the Harippad constituency, said.
The left parties lost significance even in national politics. Their debacle in West Bengal lighted into the fact, Mr. Chennithala, who is anticipated to be a minister in the UDF government, said.
The left parties began to depreciate with their withdrawal of support to the UPA government in protest against the nuclear deal with the U.S, Ramesh added.
Some false allegations against the UDF leaders in the final moments of election campaigning under the leadership of V.S Achuthanandan helped LDF a bit, Mr. Ramesh said. There was no influence of the so-called ‘V.S factor’ in the last election, he added. UDF will try to showcase a smoother and better administration in the state for next five years.
