California school principal killed by janitor and Chinese New Year, Chinese Zodiac Calenda. In a shocking incident, the principal of an elementary school in California was shot dead on Wednesday when the school’s janitor opened fired on him.
The victim Sam LaCara, was rushed to the local hospital where he succumbed to single gunshot injuries.The janitor John Luebbers, 44, was immediately arrested by the law enforcement authorities on murder charge.
The incident occurred at about 10:AM the elementary school Schnell School in the Sierra foothills town of Placerville, about 20 miles northeast of the state capital.
After shooting the principal, the janitor fled the scene and went to his home. The law enforcement authorities took him into custody, the El DoradoCounty Fire Department Battalion Chief Larry Marinas said.
But authorities are still unable to ascertain what promoted the janitor to shoot the principal. No other person or student was injured in the incident. School was locked for two hours after the incident.
