Blizzard's Starcraft 2 midnight release: starcraft 2 review, phase 2 & lan. Blizzard to launch ‘StarCraft II: Liberty of Wings’ on July 27, no review available on web
Tired of searching for a review of StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty on the web? You won’t get it today. Indeed Blizzard Entertainment, developer of StarCraft II has not so far provided review copies to the tech media. That means you won’t be able to find a review online. Most probably you will be getting a review by next morning after its official release on July 27.
It is observed to be Blizzard’s marketing strategy not to render any chances for people to gossip about its product before official launch. That is why the entertainment firm stayed away from releasing reviews of StarCraft II as it is to be rolled out next day.
As we can expect, StarCraft II is coming forth from Blizzard as a sequel to the 1998 hit StarCraft. The game that is a science-fiction is developed or mac OS X and Microsoft Windows.
StarCraft II is of course termed to be a historic game item in the history of computer gaming. Because its previous version StarCraft attracted that much people and has been a super hit all through its days. According to reports more than 11 millions copies of StarCraft were sold out in the U.S. It will be enough to judge how popular the game was.
Gaming experts are hopeful that StarCraft II will also feature same alien characters and strange locations as StarCraft had in 1998. A bevy of characters and odd locations will further boost the popularity of Blizzard’s computer game.
Ars Technica’s Ben Kuchera said “as a gamer and a reviewer I’d rather be playing [Starcraft 2] now.” Kuchera further said that he admits Blizzard’s strategy of not releasing reviews ahead of official release, “Blizzard’s strategy is right for this particular game.”
