Black Friday 2010 deals include HDTV, LED TV & laptops. Meanwhile Retailers post extensive online campaigns for Black Friday deals
Retailers are widely relying upon Internet as a medium to reach out their Black Friday 2010 deals to the respective shoppers. Traditional methods of Black Friday shopping have completely given way for new and modern strategies. This year, retail companies have been largely using e-mail, social networking and Twitter to publicize their Black Friday deals to shoppers.
Of course, using new techniques to advertise Black Friday deals will help bring more customers up into retail showrooms. It will help the messages reach into several more customers, especially younger generations, who are glued to computers and modern communication mediums round the clock.
As per the National Retail Federation’s Shop.org eHoliday surveys, it is revealed that a big percentage of retailers will make use of Internet platforms to spread messages about their Black Friday deals.
The surveys discovered that 31 percent of retailers will use their own Web portals to promote Black Friday sales. Similarly, 39 percent of retailers will try to get into their customers through their Facebook pages and 21 percent will update their Black Friday offers on shoppers’ Twitter feeds.
“The rules for Black Friday have changed significantly,” said Matthew Shay, CEO of National Retail Federation. “Instead of waiting until Thanksgiving Day to announce their promotions, many retailers are getting shoppers excited about Black Friday by offering sneak peeks of deals in advance, using social media to create buzz, or teasing upcoming deals on their websites.”
Several retailers like Walmart, Target, Best Buy and Amazon have shaped up special online deals for Black Friday shoppers for the year. Walmart has announced free shipping for 60,000 products on offers as part of Black Friday 2010 sales offers.
