Before iPad 2 release date there are production issue to be sorted out. And sorting them out is not an easy thing for Cupertino based tech giant.

Apple iPad 2, the most sought after tablet is around the corner. Apple has set March 2, Wednesday for the launch of next generation tablet. The possible features and updates of iPad 2 are the recurring stories of tech world. Apple insiders have been adding flavor to the rumors originate from Taiwan and China where the device is under production.

Most of the rumors are focused on the display changes in the upcoming gadget. The leaked specs showed that iPad 2 will not carry a Retina Display. MacRumors predicted that iPad 2 will incorporate a "pixel-double" display having twice resolution than the earlier version.

However, production of this thin display will affect the shipment of the tablet in the first phase, according to Wall Street Journal analyst. Calling it "yield issues" the analyst suggested that Apple will have to limit iPad 2 supply at launch.

Bill Shope with Goldman Sachs clarified this report quoting sources in Apple's overseas supply chain. "It appears that Apple is once again pushing the technology envelope by making the device far thinner than the original iPad, and the iPad 2's ultra-thin glass screen is generating yield issues," Shope noted.

However, Shope ruled out any delay of the release thanks to the production issue. Almost all of Apple's new iOS products were launched in limited volumes. "As of now, we are not assuming Apple will expand the storage capacity for the iPad, which should enable the company to enjoy better product margins over time," he added.

The second generation iPad is expected to release at special a media event at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, Calif.
