Arms, loud-speakers banned near CBSE exam centres

New Delhi, (IANS) The Delhi police have ordered the public not to use loudspeakers, carry arms, ammunitions, or hold processions near any schools where the Central Board of Secondary Education will hold its board examinations beginning the first week of March.

As per the order issued to the media, carrying any arms, cudgels, swords, bludgeons, guns, knives, sticks or any other articles which can be used for causing physical violence near exam centres are punishable.

The police said carrying any corrosive substance, stones, raising any slogans or using loud voice to facilitate cheating in an exam from outside the hall are also prohibited.

Police also banned the use of loudspeakers and processions near the schools.

The CBSE Class X and XII examinations are being held from March 3 to April 8, 2010, between 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at a number of examination centres all over the national capital.
