Apple unveils new iPod Nano Touch, Apple TV, iTunes 10 in its September 2010 media event. Apple’s September event has gone away leaving three items for fans and reviewers to play with. The tech giant revealed new line of iPods, revamped Apple TV and iTunes last day. Following the annual tradition, Apple CEO Steve Jobs brought these advanced apps to Touch world.
To satisfy the aspirants for a new iPod Touch with front and rear cameras and FaceTime video calling, Apple unveiled such one that much more like an iPhone 4. Don’t think it has the features of phone or wireless contract.
The new iPod Nano sports a multitouch display which is marked as the biggest change. It has shortened the device to half the size and weight of the previous generation. But, with these changes, the most popular iPod will be treated as the more expensive iPod Touch. An 8-GB Nano costs $149. A 16-GB model is $179.
And if you need the most awaited cameras and FaceTime in your new iPod Touch, you have to select any one from three versions of $229 for an 8-GB model, $299 for 32 GB and $399 for 64 GB.
But the real star of the event was a cheaper version of Apple TV set-top box which priced only $99. Jobs brought this "hobby" offer reducing the price from $229. However, this under-4-inch square box which is one-fourth the size of the previous generation offers plugging in power, an HDMI cable or an ethernet cable along with built-in Wi-Fi.
The third item of the event came in the form of iTunes 10 which introduced new Ping social network inside iTunes. This new avatar will help you to "follow" your friends and give them permission to follow or be followed.
