Los Angeles: American Idol results april 21 & Crystal Bowersox declared Best 'American Idol'. Tim Urban has been eliminated from the "American Idol." Finally, time for Tim Urban to return home has come in the "Idol Gives Back" episode on Wednesday night. The 20-year-old ever-smiling teenager will no longer perform in the most popular American reality show.
In an 'Idol' episode, which was also a fundraiser one Tim Urban performed a rendition of "Better Days" by The Goo Goo Dolls. Tim, from Duncanville, Texas, but completely failed to draw attention of both audience and judges. Audience did not vote him much to let him stay in the show. As well, Tim met a lot of criticisms from the panel judges.
Idol's chief judge Simon Cowell called it "a little bit of a let down. DeGeneres compared Tim's performance with soup du jour, "sometimes I like it, sometimes I don't," she said.
The night's show was eventful with the presence of a line-up stars. The episode kicked off with the recorded speech of Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama, who urged the need to help others. Bill and Melinda Gates followed the plea to audience to donate as possible for the well-being of others. Stars like Jennifer Garner, Ben Affleck, Jim Carrey and Victoria Beckham were present.
The celebrities performed their best in the show. The Back Eyed Peas made the episode memorable with their latest hit, "Rock That Boy."Joss Stone, English guitar icon Jeff Beck and Elton John further performed during the show.
The other top singers stay in Idol comprise Siobhan Magnus, Crystal Bowersox, Lee DeWyze and Michael Lynche.
