Last match big performer for the Punjab MS Bisla was unfortunately run out on a duck while he faced seven balls. The other Sri Lankan star Mahela Jayawardene almost threw his wicket as he tried to sweep a ball which he could easily have played exposing his wicket and was comprehensively bowled by Andrew Symonds on 14. The score then became 46 runs for the loss of four wickets. AB Barath lasted 10 balls for his seven runs. Piyush Chawal was the seventh to not even going into the double figures.

Herschelle Gibbs looked pretty good initially but he too could not last long. He made 23 on the same number of balls. While wickets were tumbling at regular intervals Andrew Symonds was firing all cylinders. He smashed three sixes and fours each to make 53 runs in 38 balls. Yuvraj Singh brilliantly caught him.
